What is your favorite thing about SU?

I love the dedication students have to their academics while not being too high-stress and competitive about it. Syracuse is the perfect school because I am surrounded by peers who are equally committed to their academics and future careers but know how to find time for relaxation and fun. The size is also perfect because there are always familiar and new faces everywhere I go.

What is your favorite SU memory?

The Duke-SU game from my freshman year (2014). It was the first time we played Duke and it was a really close game that went into overtime, with SU taking the win and remaining undefeated! It was an amazing experience.

If you could tell a new or incoming student just ONE thing about SU, what would it be?

No matter your interests or passions, Syracuse will definitely have something for you to get involved with and become a part of the community. There’s so many organizations and activities that are all so welcoming. They want to continue their legacy once the current members graduate and that’s where you get to be a part of it!

Good Morning SU! My name is Sarah Barth and I’ll be taking over the account for the following week! I am a junior Broadcast & Digital Journalism and Political Science dual major currently spending the semester in New York City through @newhousenyc I’m excited to share with you all the amazing experiences I’m having in New York. This semester, my classmates and I work at media internships, take some interesting classes, and explore all New York has to offer! This picture is of me at my current internship with @abcnews working for “This Week.” When I’m back at @syracuseu I often stay busy between my classes, working part-time at @faegans (an amazing restaurant right on campus), and being an active member of @alphaphisu . I have also been involved with @z89radio and Hill Communications PR in previous semesters. I can’t wait to show you around NYC this week! -SB #SyracuseU

New York City is known for being fast-paced, and balancing school, work, and life can get chaotic. That’s why I love to find places in the city where I can roam on a nice day. My office is right near Lincoln Center. Known for housing the American Ballet, Lincoln Center can be very lively on weekend nights, but in the mornings and afternoons, it’s pretty quiet. I left early this morning so I would be able to take a few minutes to just enjoy the warm weather here. On rainy or cold days, exercise and shopping are my preferred stress-relievers – and trust me, there’s plenty of both in the city! Thanks for letting me share my week with you! Can’t wait to return to @syracuseu next fall! Signing off -SB #SyracuseU
